The Kaluga based plant Electroshield-K° (part of the NEC Group) has supplied another batch of transformers for Kashirskaya GRES (PJSC Inter RAO). The equipment is used in measurement, relay protection, and control systems at the power facility.

Kashirskaya GRES is the oldest and largest industrial enterprise in the Kashira District of the Moscow Region. The project is aimed at maintaining the reliability of generating capacities and ensuring stable power supply to the region’s industrial and social sectors.

Previously, the plant had supplied equipment for the station’s oil-filled power transformer. Under the new delivery, the transformers have been installed as part of a gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) system. The equipment is used to transmit measurement data to metering devices, as well as to protection and control systems. The design solutions ensure reliable insulation of secondary circuits from high voltage, thereby enhancing safety and the stable operation of equipment in AC installations.

The comprehensive work carried out to equip the power plant confirms Electroshield-K°’s expertise in delivering solutions for generation facilities with heightened requirements for reliability and operational safety.
