Electroshield-K° supplies equipment for major power facilities in Chuvashia and Yakutia
Electroshield-K°
Electroshield-K° Plant, part of NEC Group’s Components and Smart Technologies division, has supplied current transformers for two major power facilities: the operating Cheboksary Hydroelectric Power Plant and a thermal power plant with a capacity of 550 MW under construction in Yakutia. The equipment enables monitoring of electrical current parameters and ensures the operation of power plant protection systems.

For the Cheboksary HPP, the company manufactured built-in TV-EK current transformers. With a capacity of 1,370 MW, the plant is the largest power generation facility in Chuvashia and part of the Volga-Kama cascade of hydroelectric power plants.

For the thermal power plant under construction in Yakutia, Electroshield-K° supplied TLO-10 current transformers, which will be used in the power distribution system.

The new thermal power plant will become one of the major energy infrastructure facilities in Eastern Siberia. The project includes the construction of more than 200 km of gas pipelines and approximately 800 km of power transmission lines. The commissioning of the new generating capacity will help cover the projected power deficit in the Bodaibo energy district, taking into account the development of industry and railway infrastructure along the Eastern Railway Polygon.
