Electroshield-K°
Electroshield-K° (a member of the NEC Group) has delivered current transformers for the Gusinoozyorskaya State District Power Plant (GRES) operated by PJSC Inter RAO — the largest power station in Zabaykalsky Krai and one of the key energy facilities in the Republic of Buryatia.
The Gusinoozyorskaya GRES is a system-forming facility for the region. The plant supplies electricity to Buryatia and neighbouring areas, including Irkutsk Oblast, as well as partially to Mongolia. In addition, the GRES provides district heating to the town of Gusinoozyorsk, home to over 24,000 residents. Its annual power generation reaches approximately 5 billion kWh — covering up to 85% of the republic’s electricity consumption.
The supplied current transformers are integrated into the station’s power equipment. They convert high-current parameters into standardised low-level measurement signals used by relay protection, automation, and monitoring systems. This ensures accurate data transmission and stable operation of equipment under high-load conditions.
