Enkhim Launches Second Phase of Plant – Russia's Only Fire-Resistant Turbine Oil Production Facility

Enkhim (part of the NEC Group) commissioned the second phase of its plant – a trixylenyl phosphate synthesis facility. The launch took place on June 26 at the company's site in the Tula Region. The project was implemented under an investment agreement with the Government of the Tula Region, signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

"The launch of the plant's second phase is significant not only for the company's development but also for the country as a whole. The new capacity will increase output and strengthen Russia's energy security. With the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the company has effectively restored the country's lost technology for producing triaryl phosphate-based products, including fire-resistant turbine oils. Today, it is the only such facility in Russia, building its own expertise in the field of critical chemical products for the energy sector," noted Mikhail Yurin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.

Enkhim is the only company in Russia to have restored its technology for producing fire-resistant turbine oil. The first phase of the plant was launched in 2024. The launch of the second phase will increase the production of high-tech chemical products, reduce import dependence, and strengthen the country's energy security.

The new production complex also includes exhaust gas purification systems and emergency discharge systems, ensuring environmental and industrial safety.

The total investment in the plant's construction (both the first and second phases) is 1.9 billion rubles. After the expansion, the plant's capacity will more than double in terms of output.

"This production fully meets the goals of import substitution, achieving technological sovereignty, and technological leadership, which Russian President Vladimir Putin has set for the country, industry, and science. We understand that these are very ambitious and serious goals. The Tula Region, together with our partners and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, is making a significant contribution to the development of the chemical industry. I thank the company and its management for implementing this project, and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade for its support," said Tula Region Governor Dmitry Milyaev.

As part of the grand opening, awards were presented for contributions to the development of the industrial complex.

Dmitry Filatov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC NEK, was awarded a letter of thanks. The award was presented by Dmitry Milyaev, Governor of the Tula Region. His contribution to the development of industrial cooperation and strengthening the company's technological potential was particularly noted.

"Two years ago, we took a significant and important step: we opened the first stage and restored the technology for producing fire-resistant turbine oil in Russia. Since then, the company has proven the demand for its products, and their quality has received high praise from the largest companies in the energy sector," emphasized Dmitry Filatov.

The company's management, engineering, and technology teams, which ensure the implementation of complex production tasks, are paying special attention to the project's development. Valery Arkhipchuk, Deputy General Director of Enhim LLC, was awarded the Certificate of Honor from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade for his significant contribution to the development of industry and the chemical sector, his many years of dedicated work, and his participation in the implementation of technologically complex and strategically significant projects.

His professional career involves the development and practical restoration of critical technological solutions, including the revival of fire-resistant turbine oil production technologies, which are of strategic importance for the domestic energy sector and the country's technological independence.

According to Sergey Mazitov, General Director of Enhim LLC, the commissioning of the plant's second phase is a logical result of systematic import substitution efforts.

The plant's products are in demand by companies such as Rosenergoatom, Inter RAO, and Gazprom Energoholding, and its production meets industry standards and has been audited by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and Rosatom.
