The Nizhny Tagil Metal Structures Plant has announced the results of its inter-shop production competition, which began in the fall of 2025. Over the course of three months, divisions competed for the title of best in two categories: primary and secondary production.
Winners were determined using a comprehensive scoring system assessing five key indicators: production plan fulfillment, occupational safety, process discipline, product quality, and implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
The following were the winners:
• in the "Best Primary Production Shop" category – the painting and loading shop.
• in the "Best Auxiliary Production Shop" category – the repair and construction section.
The leading teams received not only honorary pennants but also unique art trophies. The painting and loading shop was presented with a rare statuette, "Welder," by sculptor Nikolai Gorelikov, and the repair and construction department received a composition, "Beat Swords into Ploughshares," by Evgeny Vuchetich. Both works were created using the famous Kasli casting technique. These traveling symbols of victory will be kept by the winners until the championship title passes to another department.
The labor competition program is aimed at strengthening corporate spirit, stimulating professional growth, and sharing best practices between departments. Plans are underway to expand the competition, involving more departments and introducing new categories.
