Lipetsk High-Voltage Equipment Plant (LZVO), part of NEC Group’s High-Density Solutions division, took part in a roundtable discussion titled “Personnel in Focus: How Educational Institutions Can Contribute to the Development of the Energy Industry”, held at Lipetsk State Technical University.

The meeting brought together representatives of the university, regional companies, and organizations. Participants discussed the training of specialists for industry and ways for universities and employers to cooperate.

Key topics included industrial internships, targeted training, joint educational programs, participation of company representatives in the educational process, and career guidance.

This work is particularly relevant for LZVO due to the development of a new high-voltage equipment production facility in Lipetsk. The company needs engineering and technical specialists, and cooperation with specialized educational institutions makes it possible to take production needs into account when training future professionals.

“It is important for us to cooperate with educational institutions and introduce students to real-world production challenges. Practical training and the involvement of companies in the educational process help young professionals acquire in-demand skills while they are still studying and gain a better understanding of career opportunities in the industry,” said Yulia Suvorova, HR Manager of the NEC.High Voltage Solutions division.

The participants also paid particular attention to students’ practical training and aligning educational programs with the needs of companies. Potential areas of cooperation include industrial internships, joint projects, and continuing professional education programs.
