Metering devices developed by NEC TECH certified by PJSC Rosseti

The St. Petersburg Scientific and Technical Centre NEC TECH has developed split‑type smart electricity metering devices for the NARTIS plant (both companies are part of the NEC Group) and has received a positive Certificate from the Certification Commission (ZAK) of PJSC Rosseti, dated 30 June 2026, confirming compliance with the requirements of STO 34.01‑5.1‑009‑2024.
The certificate was issued based on tests carried out in accredited laboratories and at JSC Rosseti NTC, as well as on the analysis of documentation and production processes.
The smart metering devices NARTIS‑R1‑S (single‑phase) and NARTIS‑R3‑S (three‑phase) are manufactured by NARTIS, a leading Russian producer of smart measurement, control and radio‑electronic equipment (the enterprise is part of the NEC.Components and Intelligent Technologies division of the NEC Group).
The split‑type metering devices are designed for outdoor operation across a wide range of climatic conditions: they can operate at temperatures from -55 to +85 °C and within an extended atmospheric pressure range of 60 to 106 kPa. The meters can be used autonomously, as part of automated electricity metering systems (ASUE), automated commercial electricity metering systems (ASKUE), or connected to an intelligent electricity (power) metering system (ISUE).
The company notes that the NARTIS‑R1‑S and NARTIS‑R3‑S split‑type meters feature a fundamentally new housing design, which allows the use of a standardised communication module. The communication module was also developed by the unified scientific and technical centre of the NEC Group, NEC TECH. The circuitry and design solutions of the metering devices enable the communication module to be quickly replaced without de‑energising the meter or removing it from the support. This significantly simplifies maintenance and reduces the time required to switch the communication channel with the meter when ASUE, ASKUE or ISUE systems are modified or upgraded.
NARTIS‑R1‑S and NARTIS‑R3‑S have been included in the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Register of Domestic Products (GISP). This status confirms the domestic origin of the metering devices and expands the opportunities for their use at energy and industrial facilities.
