NEC Group has kicked off the “Green Charge” corporate environmental project, which this year will bring together environmental volunteering, team competitions, and other activities. Fr om August to October, events will be held in Cherepovets, Cheboksary, Kovrov, and Yekaterinburg, uniting enterprise employees, young people, and residents of the cities wh ere the Group operates.

Cherepovets was the first city to host the project. The event brought together youth activists and employees of the NARTIS company (along with their families), teams of students fr om Cherepovets State University, employees of the 3A highway hotel chain, and city volunteers. In total, 60 people joined the initiative.

During the event, participants collected 641 kg of waste. In addition to cleaning the territory of Maliy Pervomaysky Beach on the banks of the Sheksna River, the teams took part in sports challenges and an eco‑quiz. Teams received points for each task. According to the competition results, the winner of “Green Charge” by NEC Group in Cherepovets was the team fr om the 3A hotel chain. The Youth Activists team from NARTIS took second place, the team of NARTIS Plant employees came third, and the students of Cherepovets State University finished fourth.

All participants received commemorative souvenirs made from recycled paper with plant seeds. Once the seeds germinate, they can be transplanted into soil to grow a full‑fledged plant – flowers, a spruce, herbs, pepper, or tomato – as a symbol that caring for nature continues even after the campaign ends.

“For us, participating in such initiatives is not only a contribution to the city’s ecology but also an important part of our corporate culture. Projects like these bring employees together, foster a responsible attitude towards the environment, and show that even small joint actions can lead to noticeable changes,” said Elena Smirnova, HR Director at LLC NARTIS Plant.

NARTIS Company annually participates in initiatives aimed at improving urban spaces and supporting environmental projects in Cherepovets. Every spring, the company’s employees take part in planting lilacs in public recreation areas. This year, an apple alley was planted, and since last year, blue spruces planted by the company’s activists have been decorating Komsomolsky Park.

Environmental initiatives have already become part of the social activities of NEC Group’s enterprises. Last year, as part of the “Green Charge” project, employees planted trees in five regions wh ere the company operates. This year, the project has taken on a new format. However, its main goal remains unchanged: to engage employees and city residents in caring for the environment and to make the cities wh ere NEC Group operates cleaner and more comfortable.

By launching ‘Green Charge’, we aimed to create a project that would unite enterprise employees around a common idea – caring for the environment. I am sure that initiatives like this shape a corporate culture in which responsibility for nature becomes a natural part of everyday life. We expect the project to grow, engaging more participants and opening up new environmental initiatives in the regions where the Group operates
