NEC Group presents its experience in digitalizing power facilities at SIBUR conference

Experts fr om Unitel Engineering, part of NEC Group’s Automation and Communications Systems division, presented practical experience in digitalizing power facilities at a SIBUR conference – from substation automation to centralized power supply management at industrial enterprises.
This year, SIBUR’s research and practical conference Digital and Intelligent Relay Protection and Automation Systems was included in the program of the NeftekHimSkills/PetroChemSkills-2026 professional skills championship for the first time. The event brought together representatives of industry, the power sector, and Russian technology developers.
As part of the business program, Unitel Engineering specialists presented two areas of expertise. The first focused on the development of highly automated substations, wh ere equipment protection, monitoring, and control are integrated into a unified digital system. The company’s proprietary UNIT-M series solutions were also presented.
The second area was the digitalization of dispatch control over power supply. Such solutions make it possible to integrate data from power equipment and automation systems, centrally monitor and manage energy infrastructure. The company presented its practical experience in developing and integrating such systems at industrial facilities.
Cooperation between NEC Group and SIBUR has been developing for more than 18 years. Today, over 15 joint projects are underway in electrical equipment, automation, relay protection, communications, and control.
