«NEC» will launch the production of printed circuit boards in the Vologda Region
The agreement on the implementation of the investment project was signed today by the Governor of the Vologda Region Georgy Filimonov and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "National Energy Company" (NEC) Dmitry Filatov.
The project is aimed at localizing the production of a critical component for the Russian electronics industry. Investments will amount to about 5 billion rubles.
The project will be implemented by LUCH LLC with the participation of the management of NARTIS Plant LLC (the companies are part of the NEC industrial Group). The production facilities will be located in the village of Leskovo in the Vologda District, where a modern production infrastructure is being created.
"The special economic zone of the industrial and production type "Vologda" will have another resident - LUCH LLC, which was created with the participation of JSC "NEC". Under the agreement, we will build a modern industrial production facility here with an initial investment of 5 billion rubles and equip it with equipment. The project will create over 450 new jobs, increase the revenue side of the regional budget, as well as the amount of investment in the region's fixed capital. I thank the management of NEC for their willingness to work for the benefit of the Vologda Region, create new growth points here and increase the investment attractiveness of our territory," said Vologda Region Governor Georgy Filimonov.
The strategic importance of the project is due to the growing requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the localization of production. In the coming years, the use of domestic printed circuit boards may become a mandatory requirement for manufacturers of electronic equipment.
"We are purposefully developing localization, which is a critically important trend for our country. We are investing in the creation of our own production facilities to ensure the technological sovereignty of Russia. The construction of a plant for the production of printed circuit boards has great potential and strategic importance for the development of the domestic electronics industry. This will allow us to reduce our dependence on imported components and create a high-tech full-cycle production. We are confident that this project will be an important step in the development of the electronics industry in Russia," said Dmitry Filatov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC NEC.
The implementation of the project will create new jobs and make a significant contribution to the development of the industrial potential of the Vologda Region. The enterprise is planned to be launched around the clock with three work shifts, with an expected production capacity of 10-15 thousand m² per month.
