The VII City Championship of Professional Skills «Prof-Start 2026» has concluded in Nizhny Tagil. One of the key partners of the event was the NTZMK plant (part of the NEC Group). For several years running, the competition has been hosted at the Nizhny Tagil Construction College — a core educational institution for training skilled workers for the industrial sector and a long-standing partner of the plant.
During the championship, school students tried their hand in a wide range of professions — from landscape design and interior decoration to programming, electrical installation, and archival science. Participants were given just two hours to complete their competition tasks. Success required not only technical skill, but also the ability to manage stress and stay focused under pressure.
For the Nizhny Tagil plant, participation in the championship goes far beyond sponsorship — it is part of a long-term strategy for engaging young talent. The Construction College has been a trusted partner for years: students complete internships at the plant, gaining hands-on experience from active professionals serving as mentors.

A total of 270 young residents took part, testing their abilities in various trades. In addition to acquiring new skills, participants gained new opportunities — winners of the city stage will advance to regional-level competitions.

The main goal of the championship is to help young people choose their future career and ‘try on’ a profession.
