NTZMK to supply 400 tons of steel structures for Uralkali's new complex

Nizhny Tagil Metal Structures Plant (part of the NEС Group) has begun supplying steel structures for the construction of a sylvinite ore receiving complex at BKPRU-2 in Berezniki. The company will manufacture and supply approximately 400 tons of steel structures for the project.

The complex under construction is one of the key investment projects within Uralkali's ore base development program. For such facilities, ensuring the durability of the supporting structures is particularly important, as they are constantly exposed to salt dust and an aggressive industrial environment.

Taking into account the specifics of potash production, NTZMK specialists applied various anti-corrosion protection systems to the internal and external elements of the structure. This approach will improve the resistance of metal structures to operational loads and ensure their long service life.

For the internal components, a combination of materials designed to withstand the constant chemical exposure found within industrial facilities was selected. For the external structures, a protection system resistant to industrial atmospheres and climatic factors was used.

Both process technologies utilize two-component NORMAALI paints and varnishes with a total protective coating thickness of 250 micrometers.

The first batch of metal structures, weighing over 200 tons, has already been shipped to the construction site in the Perm Krai.
