NTZMK to Supply Steel for the Construction of Two Power Units in the Far East
NTZMK
The Nizhny Tagil Steel Structures Plant (NTZMK), part of the NEC Group, is participating in a large-scale project to expand Partizanskaya GRES. The company has already delivered more than 2,000 tonnes of steel structures to the region. The construction is being carried out under the state program for the development of thermal power generation in the Russian Far East.

The modernization of the power plant is necessary to replace outdated equipment and to supply electricity to new consumers. The project предусматривает the construction of two power units with a total capacity of 280 MW. They will provide electricity to traction substations of Russian Railways (RZD) as part of the federal program to increase the capacity of the Trans-Siberian Railway.

In practice, the new power units will operate as a standalone power plant with their own fuel supply and technical water supply systems. Their total installed electric capacity will reach 2.1 GW, while thermal capacity will exceed 2,500 Gcal/h.

In total, NTZMK will supply more than 7,000 tonnes of steel structures for the construction of the new power units. Commissioning is scheduled for 2026.
