NTZMK to take part in the modernization of one of Moscow’s largest thermal power plants
NTZMK
NTZMK, part of NEC Group’s Metal Structures and Facilities division, is starting production of a smokestack with platforms and ladders for the modernization of TPP-25, a branch of Mosenergo PJSC. The total weight of the steel structures will amount to nearly 173 tonnes.
TPP-25 supplies heat and electricity to industrial enterprises and residential areas in Moscow’s Western and South-Western administrative districts, home to more than 1.5 million people. NTZMK’s involvement in the plant’s modernization will be another project for the company in the power infrastructure sector.
The project is subject to stringent requirements for weld quality, anti-corrosion treatment and the geometric accuracy of all components. The plant’s in-house engineering capabilities and modern automated equipment enable it to comply with applicable industry standards. All ancillary structures, including inspection platforms and stair flights, will be manufactured to meet enhanced requirements for industrial safety and ease of operation.
NTZMK has extensive experience in delivering major projects for the power industry. These include the supply of large-diameter smokestacks for the South Yakutsk Thermal Power Plant and a large-scale project involving the shipment of structures for Almaty TPP-3.
All production stages, from metal cutting to the final inspection assembly of the smokestack components, will be carried out at the company’s production facility in Nizhny Tagil. The completed steel structures will undergo multi-stage quality control before being transported to the site by specialized road transport.
