Rosatom Energosbyt Technologies, a developer of smart electricity metering systems and digital solutions for the energy supply industry, has joined NEC Group. Following the integration, the company will operate under a new name: Energosbyt Technologies.
Energosbyt Technologies will also become part of NEK. Components and Smart Technologies (NEC.KIT), a division that already includes NARTIS, Electroshield-K°, and Luch.
NEC has acquired control of a site in the Smolensk region where smart metering devices are assembled, as well as service centers in Kursk, Murmansk, Tver, and Smolensk. Production capacity allows for the production of up to 100,000 devices per year.
The deal expands NEC Group's capabilities in smart metering. It already includes the NEC TECH research and development center and the NARTIS plant, which develop and manufacture metering devices. The combined assets create a full cycle—from development and production to implementation and maintenance.
The integration of Energosbyt Technologies strengthens NEC Group's position in the digital energy sector. The deal facilitates the development of the company's production capacity and engineering expertise, and provides smart meter users with access to modern solutions, expanded service support, and innovation, improving the convenience and transparency of electricity metering.
