RTC-ELECTRO supplies busbars for a key uranium mining development project in Russia

RTC-ELECTRO (part of the NEC Group) has completed the supply and installation of complete cast‑insulated busbar systems of the TCLS series for Mine No. 6, which is under construction as part of the development project for the Argunskoye and Zherlovoye deposits in the Trans‑Baikal Territory. The company deployed a domestic solution designed for operation under high loads and in challenging climatic conditions.

As part of the project, more than 100 metres of busbars with a rated current of 1 600 A were delivered to the site. These are used to power the main ventilation unit – a key element of the mine’s infrastructure, critical to the safety of mining operations and the continuity of the production process.

For such facilities, equipment reliability and minimal operating costs are especially important. That is why cast‑insulated busbars were chosen for the project. Unlike traditional solutions, they offer high mechanical strength, are resistant to moisture, dust and temperature fluctuations, and require virtually no maintenance during operation. This makes them an efficient solution for enterprises in the mining industry.

Mine No. 6 is being built by the Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Association (PPGHO), which is part of the Rosatom Nedra group. The project is of strategic importance for the development of Russia’s uranium mining sector and is aimed at developing the Argunskoye and Zherlovoye deposits.
