RTC-ELECTRO
RTC-ELECTRO (part of the NEC Group) received a letter of thanks and a commemorative medal from the Mayak production association (part of Rosatom State Corporation) for the successful implementation of a unique project to create an electric furnace for vitrifying high-level radioactive waste – the EP 250/6. The customer noted the high quality of the equipment and the adherence to delivery deadlines.
As part of the project, RTC-ELECTRO supplied 305 meters of phase-insulated busbars for the TPL. These are necessary for uninterrupted power supply to the furnace: the operating conditions require the furnace to operate continuously – disconnecting it from the power supply is not possible, otherwise the glass will freeze.
The equipment was installed by the customer with engineering support from RTC-ELECTRO. The teams' coordinated work ensured that all installation stages were completed in full compliance with design documentation and strict industrial safety requirements.
RTC-ELECTRO emphasized that the award confirms the team's high level of expertise and the company's reliability as a partner. The company also expressed gratitude to the Mayak production association for its cooperation and noted its readiness to implement new joint projects.
The Mayak production association is the first industrial facility in the Russian nuclear industry. It is part of the Rosatom State Corporation. Today, the company fulfills state defense contracts and reprocesses nuclear fuel.
