The first youth forum of the NEC Group brought together about 60 young specialists from different regions of Russia

Members of the NEC Group’s Youth Asset gathered in Smolensk for the first group‑wide youth forum. Over the course of two days, young specialists fr om various regions and enterprises of the Group worked on developing leadership skills, exchanged experience, and identified directions for the future work of the youth movement. The opening of the forum and the plenary session were attended by Vasily Anokhin, Governor of the Smolensk Region, and Dmitry Filatov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NEK JSC.
Smolensk was not chosen as the venue for the first forum by chance: in 2026, the city holds the status of the Youth Capital of Russia. In addition, an enterprise of the NEC Group – Energosbyt Technologies – operates in the region.
“Modern industry is developing rapidly. It encompasses IT, digital technologies, automation, complex engineering, and the management of large systems. That is why such meetings are especially important. They allow young people to see different professional paths, learn from their colleagues’ experience, and take a fresh look at their own potential,” said Vasily Anokhin, Governor of the Smolensk Region.
Today, the NEC Group’s Youth Asset unites 130 specialists. Since its launch, the participants have implemented dozens of events and initiatives, including those in the area of corporate volunteering.
In the first half of the year alone, young employees carried out more than 12 volunteer initiatives across six areas – from charity and blood donation to environmental protection and urban improvement. For example, as part of the federal campaign “BumBattle”, the participants collected 27 tonnes of waste paper.
“For the NEC Group, young people are not just a talent pool – they are also a source of new ideas and initiatives. Our goal is to create conditions wh ere young specialists can develop and jointly implement projects that are important for the company,” said Dmitry Filatov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NEK JSC.
The central event of the forum was the plenary session “Leader’s Code: How Business Experience Helps You Understand Yourself”. Participants discussed professional development, leadership competencies, and opportunities to implement their own initiatives within the company. The session’s experts also included Marina Khairullina, Director of the Institute of Management at RANEPA, Anastasia Kulachenkova, Ambassador of the Rosseti Group of Companies, and Darya Barneva, Chair of the Committee for the Development of Youth Entrepreneurship in the Smolensk Region.
In addition to the plenary session, the programme included teamwork, training sessions, business meetings, and an overview of the NEC Group’s development strategy.
