Unitel Engineering automates management of a key power supply centre in the Leningrad Region
Unitel Engineering (part of the NEC Group) has completed commissioning of UPASK cabinets with PKUS SR24 equipment at the 330 kV Lomonosovskaya substation – one of the key power supply centres for Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

The solution by Unitel Engineering enables automatic control of the power system during emergency and transient conditions, when grid parameters change in fractions of a second – and response speed is critical for maintaining the stability of power supply. The equipment allows operators to proactively prevent the development of abnormal situations without direct involvement of operational personnel.

The Lomonosovskaya substation plays a strategic role in power supply to the Lomonosovsky and Petrodvortsovy districts of Saint Petersburg, as well as adjacent territories of the Leningrad Region. The reliable power supply to residential areas, industrial enterprises and transport infrastructure in the region depends on the stable operation of this facility.

The use of intelligent emergency automation systems manufactured by Unitel Engineering enhances the resilience of the power grid and ensures uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers – both the general public and businesses.
