Unitel Engineering opened the second stage of the plant for the production of high-tech equipment for fuel and energy facilities in Cheboksary

Unitel Engineering, part of the NEC industrial Group, ceremonially opened the second stage of the plant within its production cluster in the city of Cheboksary.

The opening ceremony of the new enterprise was attended by the Head of the Chuvash Republic Oleg Nikolaev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Shpak, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC NEC Dmitry Filatov, General Director of JSC NEC Alexander Koreshev, General Director of Unitel Engineering LLC Alexey Zhukov.

“The opening of the second stage of the Unitel Engineering plant is an important step in the development of the domestic industry and strengthening the country's energy security. New production capacities will allow us to meet the growing demand for equipment that ensures the stability of energy systems,” emphasized Alexander Koreshev, General Director of JSC NEC.

 Unitel Engineering specializes in the development, production and maintenance of high-tech equipment for the automation of technological systems in the electric power industry and power supply of industrial enterprises.

 The new complex with an area of ​​4,175 square meters will significantly expand the production capacity of the enterprise and increase output by 40% - up to 1,100 relay cabinets and 4,000 serial products per year.

"Cheboksary has great potential in the field of electrical engineering and energy. I am sure that new solutions will appear at the opened enterprise that will be able to benefit the energy industry of the country. The place for this has been chosen successfully, correctly: from the point of view of the potential that the republic has. People are the main wealth and asset of the republic, they will definitely not let us down. I believe that the plant's team, formed from real professionals, will allow us to achieve outstanding results," said Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Shpak.

 The company representatives emphasized that the implementation of this project will not only have a positive impact on the economy of the region, but will also bring social benefits. 200 new jobs have been created at the Unitel Engineering enterprise.
