Unitel Engineering Receives Positive Certification Commission Opinion for ShET Cabinets with TRIUMPH UPASK

Unitel Engineering Certification
Unitel Engineering has developed a new generation of emergency signal and command transmission devices — the TRIUMPH PKUS Series UPASK — designed for highly automated substations.

The solution belongs to the class of relay protection and automation (RPA) devices and is intended for the transmission and reception of RPA signals and commands between two or more power facilities.

Microprocessor-based RPA systems, including UPASK, are key components of the modern power grid. They ensure rapid transmission of control actions, minimize the risks of cascading аварийных processes, and provide timely notification to operating personnel, thereby directly contributing to the stability and reliability of the power grid infrastructure.

In accordance with the requirements of PJSC Rosseti for equipment used at electric grid facilities, ShET cabinets equipped with TRIUMPH UPASK underwent the official certification procedure. Following an assessment of their functional characteristics for compliance with corporate standards and regulatory technical documentation, a positive Certification Commission Opinion was issued (Certificate No. PZ-76/25 dated December 30, 2025). The equipment fully complies with the technical requirements of PJSC Federal Grid Company – Rosseti and is recommended for deployment at facilities of the company’s branches and subsidiaries.

TRIUMPH UPASK cabinets can be deployed at highly automated substations in various architectural configurations:
– Type I architecture (without remote control of software-based logical switches);
– Type II and Type III architectures.

The positive opinion creates opportunities for the widespread application of the solution in the construction and modernization of electric grid facilities. The introduction of advanced RPA devices contributes to enhanced power system reliability and the sustainable development of the country’s electric grid infrastructure.
