«Unitel Engineering», a company within the «NEC Group», successfully completed a comprehensive project to modernize the power supply of the Eastern Polygon of the «Russian Railways» (RZD) railway lines. In record time – less than 5 months – «Unitel Engineering» specialists developed all working documentation, supplied, installed, and commissioned 11 anti-emergency automation cabinets, laid over 90 km of cable products, and organized new communication channels to accommodate future loads for the second phase of expanding the Eastern Polygon's capacity.

 The project was implemented at the 500 kV Ust-Kut substation of the Bodaybo energy ring, a key element in ensuring reliable power supply to Russia's most important transportation corridor.

 The Bodaybo energy ring is a unique project providing electricity not only to the railway but also to several industrial enterprises and settlements in the Irkutsk region.
